Substance Awareness for Employee Response S.A.F.E.R.
Creating a safe and productive workplace starts with awareness, accountability, and the ability to act when it matters most. This course is designed specifically for employers and supervisors, providing a structured and practical approach to recognizing and evaluating potential drug impairment in the workplace.
Participants will gain the knowledge and confidence to identify signs of substance use and impairment, understand how drugs and alcohol can impact behavior and performance, and take appropriate, professional action when concerns arise. Emphasis is placed on early intervention, proper documentation, and maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.
This training is not intended to certify participants as drug impairment experts. Instead, it equips leaders with the tools needed to observe, assess, and document behaviors that may indicate impairment, supporting informed decision-making and organizational safety.
With substance-related workplace incidents continuing to impact performance and safety nationwide, this course highlights the reality that supervisors will likely encounter impaired individuals at some point. You’ll leave with practical strategies to recognize these situations and respond effectively, confidently, and responsibly.
Ideal for: Supervisors, managers, HR professionals, and workplace leaders committed to safety and accountability.
